On 12 November 2023, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Charge d’affaires, a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy, presided over the Kathina Ceremony at Wat Tummaprateip, Washington, D.C., which was co-sponsored by Mrs. Ratana Kulnee and Mrs. Apichada Arquette, Capt. Peerapong Yoosiri, Naval and Military Attaché and officials from Team Thailand who also participated in the ceremony.

A significant number of Thai and Buddhists of other nationalities joined together in chanting, making merit, offering alms to monks, and bringing the Kathina robe to be ceremonially paraded around the temple. Additionally, there were international food stalls, traditional Thai music and performances, and a lucky draw star booth to create a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of Kathina Ceremonies held in Thailand. The goal was to provide Buddhists with a memorable experience, while preserving the much-loved traditions of the temple fair.
