New Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme (60 Days) Effective Date 15 July 2024

Nationals of the following 93 countries and territories are entitled to visa exemption for the purpose of tourism, business engagements or urgent work or ad-hoc work, for up to 60 days period of stay and can be extended for another period not exceeding 30 days. Extension of stay is solely at the discretion of the immigration officer. Before the maximum stay of 90 days are eligible to apply for a new type of visa in Thailand.

Remarks:

  • Travelers entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme must possess adequate cash of or equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family.
  • Please note that the Visa Exemption applies only to foreigners holding passports issued by the countries listed above. Other travel documents issued to foreigners by these countries are not acceptable.
  • Temporary passport / provisional passports, or emergency passports issued to nationals exempt from the Visa Scheme for 60 days are accepted by the Immigration Bureau in Thailand. However, the passport must be valid for at least six months upon returning to the country of residence.

 

New Visa on Arrival (VoA) Effective Date 15 July 2024

Nationals of the following 31 countries and territories may apply for visa on arrival at the immigration checkpoints on arrival for tourism purpose.
