Royal Thai Embassy’s officials participated in the Sart Thai Day ceremonies at Thai temples as follows:
1) On 10 September 2023, DCM Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya presided over a merit-making ceremony on the Sart Thai Day 2023 at Wat Thai Washington D.C. Many Thai and foreign Buddhists attended the event in order to continue the good traditions and preserve Buddhism. They jointly prayed, made merit and dedicated merit to those who have passed away, offered fruit baskets, Thai Dhamma necessities, and food to monks, and also listened to a sermon from Phrakru Sirisitthiwithet (Ruangrit), Vice President of Wat Thai Washington D.C.
2) On 10 September 2023, Captain Pattana Punmongkol, RTN, Defense and Military Attaché, attended the Sart Thai Day at Wat Tummaprateip, Washington D.C. There were many Thai communities participating in religious ceremonies, making merit, offering food to monks, offering Thai Dhamma necessities, listening to Buddhist sermons, and also enjoying Thai foods and products.
3) On 17 September 2023, Captain Poonsak Piyarat, Air Attaché and Assistant Defense Attaché, attended the Sart Thai Day at Wat Yarnna Rangsee DC – Virginia. All participants took part in various Buddhist activities, dedicated all merit to their ancestors and enjoyed activities and Thai food from many vendors at this event.
