On 23 October 2023, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat presided over a wreath-laying ceremony on the occasion of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn The Great Memorial Day 23 October 2023 at the Royal Thai Embassy, with participation of Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand officials, staff, and family members, as well as Thai communities in Washington, D.C. and nearby areas.

The Ambassador laid a wreath in front of a portrait of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn The Great and gave a citation honoring His Late Majesty’s extraordinary contribution to the Thai people. The Ambassador also led the observation of 57 seconds of silence in remembrance of His Late Majesty.
