On 18 November 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., met with Congresswoman Young Kim (R-CA), Chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Indo-Pacific. On this occasion, both sides emphasized the importance of strategic alliance and partnership between Thailand-United States and discussed ways to further strengthen the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries. They also engaged in a wide-ranging exchange of views on peace and security in Southeast Asia, including matters related to the outcomes of the various ASEAN and other meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as well as enhancing cooperation in addressing the global threat of online scams.
