On 24 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., together with Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of Thailand Board of Investment, New York Office, attended the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2024, which is the country’s largest investment promotion event, organised during 23 - 26 June 2024 at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Maryland.

At the event, Ambassador Suriya met with many U.S. representatives, including U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo, Governor Gretchen Esther Whitmer of Michigan and U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets Arun Venkataraman, as well as representatives from the Thai private sector, to discuss ways to further explore the opportunities of promoting trade and investment relations between Thailand and U.S. private sector.
