On 18 June 2024, Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse met with Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Member of the Committee on Armed Services and Committee on Foreign Relations. Both sides discussed medical cooperation for US servicemembers, the International Military Education and Training (IMET) as well as the promotion of trade, and investment between the two countries.
