On 13 June 2024, Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse met with Rep. Scott Peters (D-CA), Member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, and Co-chair of the US-Thai Alliance Caucus to discuss ways to promote trade and investment cooperation, particularly in the semiconductor and electric vehicles (EV) industries, Thailand’s progress on clean energy, and activities under the US-Thai Alliance Caucus.

Rep. Peters shared information on the 50th District in San Diego, which is the third largest and fastest-growing biotechnology cluster in the United States, as well as expressed his appreciation of Thai food and his interest in visiting Thailand in the near future.
