On 9 June 2024, Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse presided over the merit-making ceremony in celebration of the 100th birthday anniversary of Phra Rajamongkolrangsri (Surasak Cheevananto, Luangta Chi) at Wat Thai Washington, D.C. On this occasion, the Ambassador presented the royal offerings from His Majesty the King of Thailand to Luangta Chi.

He also participated in various religious activities including chanting, offering of alms, and presenting food to over 250 monks from all over the world, headed by the Most Venerable Somdet Phra Maha Thirachan, Member of Supreme Sangha Council, abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, and Chairman of the Office of Overseas Missionary Supervision. The celebration was attended by almost one thousand disciples of Luangta Chi.
