On 16 June 2024, Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse represented the Prime Minister of Thailand in presiding over the Buddhist chanting ceremony to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28th July 2024 and the 10th anniversary of Wat Nawamintararachutis (NMR Buddhist Meditation Center) in Raynham, MA. His Holiness Somdet Phramahathirachan, Abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, member of the Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand, President of the Regulatory Office for Overseas Dhammaduta Bhikkhus, and President of Wat Nawamintararachutis Construction Project, joined the event as the Chair of Sangha.

Thai Consul General in New York, Thai Honorary Consul General in Boston, officials from the Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Consulate General in New York, over 200 Buddhist monks, and more than 500 devout Buddhists in the U.S. also took part in the celebration.

The Ambassador, the Consul General, the Honorary Consul General, the representative of the Governor of Massachusetts, and representatives of the Mayor and relevant authorities of Raynham delivered their congratulatory messages on this auspicious occasion.
