On 2 August 2024, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., along with Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York and Miss Ketsuree Vijaranakorn, Senior Director of Thai Trade Center, New York Office, attended the ‘Dinner: A Gastronomic Tour of Regional Thai Cuisine’ at Platform at Pier 57, New York City. The dinner aimed to raise awareness of the Thai SELECT certification mark given to Thai restaurants to guarantee their quality and authenticity, as well as to boost the popularity and demand of Thai cuisine among Americans.

The dinner was organized by the Thai Trade Center, New York Office, in collaboration with the renowned James Beard Foundation, which provided the venue and selected prominent chefs and bartenders from four Thai SELECT restaurants in New York City and nearby areas, namely, Fish Cheeks, Kam Rai, Zaab Zaab, and SaiTong, to showcase their special Thai dishes and drinks at the event. The dinner was well received by all guests, particularly by influencers and food and gastronomy specialists in New York.
