On July 1st, 2024,
Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy together with Mr. Thitidej Tularak Minister-Counsellor (Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation), presented the prizes to
Ms. Brittney Howard (Instagram account @comeeatwiddbee), one of the top ten winners with the
“Most Liked Post” of the Songkran - Thai Restaurant Week event at Thai.street (Address: Broadway Market, 1640 Aliceanna St #11, Baltimore, M.D. 21231). The prizes included a Visa debit gift card from Office of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation - DC, a Thai food product basket from Office of Agricultural Affairs Washington, DC and Thai food products from Food Gusto Inc. Ms. Kesorn Imsin and Mr. John Hartzell, co-owners of Thai.street were also present at the ceremony and supported delicious Thai food and Thai tea to congratulate the prize-winner.
Thai.street restaurant is one of the 69 restaurants that participated in the Songkran - Thai Restaurant Week event, which was held on April 6-16, 2024. The event aimed to promote Thai cuisine, Thai restaurants, and the Songkran festival, enhancing the popularity of Thailand among the American public through soft power, in line with government policy. The event was organized by Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C., in collaboration with Team Thailand in Washington, D.C., Thai Trade Center in NYC, Tourism Authority of Thailand in NYC, and the Thai Restaurant Association of America (TRAA).
