On 27 July 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. organised a merit-making ceremony in dedication to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 28 July 2024 at Wat Thai Washington, D.C. The event was attended by approximately 100 participants comprising members of Team Thailand and Thai community representatives.

On this occasion, Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, offered a well-wishing message to His Majesty the King, on behalf of the Embassy officials and staff, as well as members of the Thai community. In his remarks, the Ambassador emphasized His Majesty’s commitment and devotion towards Thailand and the Thai people, as guided by His First Royal Command, which is to continue, preserve and build upon the Royal Legacy. Subsequently, the Ambassador led Heads of Thai agencies in Washington, D.C. and representatives of the Thai community to pay homage to His Majesty the King by offering flowers and singing the Royal Anthem.

At the Embassy’s Chancery earlier that day, Ambassador Suriya presided over the Pledge of Allegiance Ceremony in honour of His Majesty the King on this Auspicious Occasion with the participation of officials from respective Thai offices in Washington, D.C.
