On 25 July 2024, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., attended the CAPASA Embassy Night, organized by the Congressional Asian Pacific American Staff Association (CAPASA), at the Rayburn House Office Building and lent his support to this timely initiative by CAPASA.

At the event, a Thai booth was set up to showcase Thailand to the Congressional staff in various aspects, including the newly established US-Thai Alliance Caucus, which serves as a main platform for promoting Thai-US relations and issues of common interests in the legislative branch. The Embassy’s booth served Thai Golden Bags with Chicken, Fried Fish in Spicy Herb Salad, Thai Milk Tea, and Butterfly Pea Honey Lemonade. The Congressional staff were given locally made souvenirs from Thailand, highlighting Thailand’s elephant conservation and anti-human trafficking initiatives.
