On 26 January 2023, Mr. Sumrit Deddechanukul and Mrs. Krongthip Somala, the owners and executives of WPN Recycling Company, visited the Royal Thai Embassy to introduce the company’s business to Ambassador Tanee Sangrat.

Mr. Sumrit and Mrs. Krongthip run a successful business in Baltimore, Maryland, focusing on recycling scrap metals, such as copper, brass, aluminum, cast iron, and stainless steel. WPN has set a great example on how a company can create jobs and generate income while being socially responsible at the same time by efficiently utilizing resources, which resonates with the Thai Government’s priorities on circular economy and sustainability.

The Royal Thai Embassy will be working with WPN on their project to train and educate the interested public on recycling. Stay tuned.
