Thai Ambassador to the US attends the 34th Asian Culture Festival in Miami

On 2 March 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Thai Ambassador to the US, attended the Asian Culture Festival as guests of honor, accompanied by Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, along with Embassy’s officials. The Ambassador praised the beauty of Miami's diverse society and commended the success of the festival, which helps promote Asian and Thai cultures. He also praised the Thai American Association of Florida, the organizer, for contributing to strengthen and foster cooperation among the Asian-American and Thai-American community, in Miami consistently and continuously.

 

The 34th Asian Culture Festival was held at Tropical Park in Miami from March 1-2, 2025135. It showcased Thai and other Asian cultural performances and cuisine, aiming to introduce local people to the charms of Asia. The festival also provided opportunities for Asian-American communities to participate in cultural activities as well as to supported local Thai and Asian businesses in Florida.

 

The event received strong support from Miami-Dade County, with high-ranking county officials in attendance, including Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, county commissioners, and Consul-Generals from various countries such as Japan and Bangladesh. Ms. Maria D. Sariol, the Honorary Consul of Thailand in Miami, also participated.

 

This festival is considered another important activity that helps promote Asian arts and culture, including Thai culture in the United States. The Thai American Association of Florida has taken the lead in organizing the event together with other Asian communities in Miami to strengthen the Asian-American and the Thai-American community as well as interaction between Asia-American and Thai-American culture and American society. Wat Buddharangsi of Miami, Thai restaurants, and Thai entrepreneurs showed interest in participating, with over 30 participants.
