Consul Sart Chaivoraphorn led the Embassy’s consular team to provide consular services for Thai nationals at Wat Buddhabucha in Decatur, Georgia during 15 – 17 March 2024.

The services included registration for passport applications and issuance of Thai national ID cards with a special time slot allocated exclusively to the elderly, 70 years of age and above, to facilitate their visits. The consular team also provided consultation on consular issues while emphasizing the threat of widespread scams in the U.S., particularly those that target Thai nationals. During the three-day visit, over 400 Thais were served from both within Georgia and the nearby states.

The Embassy has been active in organizing mobile consular services to further facilitate Thai nationals living in the U.S., as well as to enhance and strengthen relations between the Embassy’s officials and staff and respective Thai American communities.

The next scheduled Mobile Consular Service is expected to take place at Wat Buddharangsri in Miami, Florida, in May or June 2024.  Please visit www.washingtondc.thaiembassy.org, Facebook: Thai Consular Section, Royal Thai Embassy, Washington D.C., and Line Official: @thaiembdc, for further information.
