On 15 February 2023, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat met with Senator Tammy Duckworth, Committees on Foreign Relations and Armed Services. Both sides discussed Thai-US relations, as both countries celebrate the 190th Anniversary of diplomatic relations this year, cooperation on veteran affairs, cyber security, green energy, supply chain resilience, and trade and investment. In 2022, bilateral trade between Thailand and Illinois amounts to 4.1 billion USD.
