On 1 November 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C., participated in the Embassy Day event at the U.S. Capitol, the Rayburn House Office Building. The function was organized by the Congressional Asian Pacific American Staff Association (CAPASA), whose members are congressional staff with interest in the region.

On this occasion, the Embassy’s booth provided information on Thailand and invited more Congressional members to join the newly established US-Thai Alliance Caucus, which serves as a main platform in promoting Thai-US relations and issues of common interests in the legislative branch. Moreover, the Embassy invited members to join the upcoming National Day Reception while showcasing Thailand’s soft power through offering of Thai curry puffs and Thai iced tea prepared by the Ambassador’s chef. Thai tourism was also promoted.

The gathering had over 300 attendees comprising the staffers, diplomats, and the public.
