Mr. Kobboon Sangmanee, Minister Counsellor, and Mr. Sart Chaivoraphorn, Consul, led the Embassy’s consular team to provide mobile consular services for Thai nationals at Wat Buddharangsri, Miami, Florida, during 10 - 13 May 2024. The team served over 725 Thai nationals residing in southern Florida and nearby areas, comprising 469 passport renewal cases, 245 Thai ID card applications, and 11 cases of legalization and civil registration issues.

On this occasion, Minister Counsellor Kobboon joined the consular team and Thai community members in providing offerings and essentials to both the monks and the temple, in appreciation of their unwavering support throughout the mission. MC Kobboon also expressed his gratitude to all the volunteers from within and outside of Florida for their dedication.

On the sidelines of the mobile consular service, a ceremony to honor the “2023 Volunteer Consuls” also took place. The awards, comprising a jacket, a pin, and a certificate, from the Thai Foreign Ministry, were presented to Mrs. Nipawan Root, Vice President of the Thai-American Association of South Florida, and Ms. Teeraporn Santiwat, leader of the Thai community in New Orleans, Louisiana, for their pivotal roles in assisting the Embassy’s consular activities throughout the years.

Additionally, on 11 May 2024, Mrs. Maria D. Sariol, Honorary Consul- General to Coral Gables, Florida, also paid a visit to the temple to greet and discuss with the consular team while having lunch.
