On 21 April 2024, Mr. Kobboon Sangmanee, Minister Counselor, presided over a Songkran Fair at Wat Tummaprateip, Washington, D.C.

On this occasion, Mr. Sangmanee participated in the buddhist ceremony including alms offering and buddha bathing. He also delivered a short remarks commending the temple committee, led by Mrs. Edy Carlson, and relevant Thai community for successfully organizing this celebration. The event was aimed at promoting Thai culture and tradition while providing an opportunity for participants to make merit as well as to help strengthen the Thai community.

Relevant activities at the fair included  a live music, Songkran parade, and Thai food and beverages offered by over 50 vendors.
