On 11 July 2024, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., presided over ‘A Mid-Summer Reception: THAI-ing in the Elements of the Four Regions,’ organized by the Office of Commercial Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy. The reception aimed to promote, raise awareness, and increase popularity of Thai cuisine through display of Thai culture and traditions of the four regions in Thailand

At the reception, the Thai Restaurant Association of America (TRAA) and Thai SELECT Signature restaurants, namely Sisters Thai, Baan Siam and Dok Khao Thai by Pattana Restaurant Group, showcased a variety of Thai dishes representing the four regions. The event was attended by over 120 guests, including representatives from the U.S. government, Congress, business associations, and the private sector, and members of the diplomatic corps.
