On 1 June 2024, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., welcomed Venerable Phra Vijitrdhammapani, Abbot of Wat Florida Dhammaram, and other monks from within the US and from Thailand, who started walking from Key West Florida on 31 March 2024 and would end their journey in Niagara Falls, New York, on 30 June 2024. This activity was part of the Dhutanga practice while campaigning for peace and unity under the Walk for World Peace 2024, initiated Phra Sutham Nateetong. The event took part on the National Mall, in front of the Capitol Hill, in Washington, D.C.

On this occasion, CDA a.i. Chuliepote gave a welcoming remarks on behalf of the participating monks and buddhists in DMV who were present at the ceremony. She highlighted the Four Sublime States, which could pave way for a peaceful co-existence in the world and corresponded with the objective of this activity. The CDA, a.i., also took this opportunity to join other participants in offering alms to all the monks of approximate 30 in total.
