On 11 September 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, met with Professor Kelly Sims Gallagher, Dean of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

The two exchanged ideas on expanding academic collaboration between the Fletcher School and leading Thai universities, particularly in fields such as international relations, policy studies, and sustainable development. The Ambassador also emphasized Thailand’s interest in facilitating knowledge exchange and supporting Thai students currently enrolled at the school.

On this occasion, Dean Gallagher invited Ambassador Suriya back to the University on 29 September 2025 to become the Keynote Speaker at the inaugural Fletcher Global Diplomacy Institute program, which Ambassador happily accepted.
