Everyone is welcome to join in the celebration. Thailand has launched its largest LGBTQA+ Pride Month to date, with government leaders highlighting the events as a celebration of human rights.

This year marks the first Pride Month since the Kingdom's marriage equality law came into effect in January. The government is actively supporting many events during the festival, which has been named the Amazing Thailand Love Wins Festival, including the annual Pride Parade in Bangkok.

“This festival represents more than a celebration - it reflects our national values. Thailand stands firmly for human rights, gender equality, and the freedom to love,” said Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Phumtham Wechayachai.

“We reaffirm our commitment to inclusion and send a clear message to the world: everyone is welcome here,” he added.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra participated in the Pride Parade alongside tens of thousands of people carrying rainbow flags and banners. Both locals and international visitors joined the parade and celebrations that followed.

Participants included artists, businesspeople, politicians, service workers, and people of diverse backgrounds and identities.

“Our country serves as a welcoming and supportive environment for the global LGBTQIA+ community - especially travelers from China, South Korea, and the Middle East - who see Thailand as a center for cultural celebration,” said Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Pattana, a leading Thai conglomerate.

Ann Chumaporn, co-founder of the LGBTQIA+ advocacy group Naruemit Pride, noted, “2025 is a historic year for Thailand's LGBTQIA+ community with the enactment of the Marriage Equality Bill. This event represents not only human rights but also has the potential to positively impact tourism, social harmony, and international perception.”

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt also joined the parade to promote Bangkok as a global hub for LGBTQIA+ culture and tourism.

The month-long festival extends beyond Bangkok, becoming a nationwide celebration with events held in Chiang Mai, Nan, and Tak in the north; Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, and Trang in the south; Pattaya near Bangkok; and Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, and Mukdahan provinces in the northeast, among others.

Across the country, “we are emphasizing four core values - love, understanding, dignity, and equality - to advance the rights of diverse communities,” said Kittinun Daramadhaj, President of the Rainbow Sky Association of Thailand.
