On 3 May 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. partnered with Events DC, with support from the Washington, D.C. government, to organize the Around the World Embassy Tour 2025. The Embassy opened its chancery to the public for tours and activities to promote close relationships between diplomatic representatives and residents of Washington, D.C. and nearby areas.

The event featured various activities promoting Thailand through cooperation between the Embassy, Team Thailand offices, partner organizations, non-profit organizations, and Thai communities in the U.S. Over 2,300 people visited the Embassy in person, with over 11,000 people following live streaming throughout the day.

Activities included traditional Thai music and dance performances by the Somapa Thai Dance Company, Muay Thai demonstrations by Little Giant Muay Thai Gym, Thai massage demonstrations and trials by the Thai Massage and Spa Association of America, contemporary music by The M. Bassy X Dokfin Band, and cultural performances by Thai youth in the U.S.

During the event, Team Thailand offices provided Thai snacks and drinks for visitors to sample. Thai Restaurant Associations in America and several restaurants (Sisters Thai, Sweeteria,
Thai Street Baltimore, Krapow Buddy, and Thai Signature) set up food stalls selling Thai food, desserts, and drinks for visitors. The Embassy also invited participating restaurants to demonstrate how to make quick and easy Thai dishes for interested visitors to watch and taste.

Additionally, there were exhibitions sharing knowledge about Thai-U.S. relations, promotions for the Siamese Twins Museum in Mount Airy, North Carolina, charity art exhibitions, and booths providing information about Thai cultural beliefs. Tourism promotion activities included photo opportunities and VR Thailand travel experiences. There was also a public participation on ideas for upcoming "Sawasdee DC" event planned for Sunday, 14 September 2025, on the National Mall in front of the U.S. Capitol.
