On 23 March 2024, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat presided over the opening ceremony of a Nuad Thai workshop organized by the Nuad Thai and Spa Association of America at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. The workshop, titled “Anatomy Unleashed Fusion: Integrating Thai Massage with Medical Massage," aimed to build capacity and improve the necessary skills of Nuad Thai therapists in Washington, D.C., and many states.  Reputable instructors and trainers included Kesara Mai-Ngam (Kru Ray), Chatchawan Laohasarekul (Kru Richard), and Vilaijit Tabengkan (Khun Aoh), the reigning 2023 Thai massage champion of the United States. At this event, over 40 participants took part in the training.

Ambassador Tanee commended the Association, which was initially founded by a small group of Thai Americans in California and later successfully expanded to engage members from other states. The Ambassador highlighted that the Thai Massage and Spa Association of America was considered a national-level association that helped to strengthen bonds and networks among Thai communities across the U.S. while also maintaining close relations with relevant U.S. agencies to support Nuad Thai entrepreneurs and therapists. The association also played an important role in promoting Nuad Thai in the U.S. in general, and supported the Embassy in successfully establishing the U.S.-Thai Alliance Caucus through its networks.
