On 25 February 2024, Ambassador Tanee and Mrs. Chonlatip Kambhu Sangrat presided over the Makha Bucha Day Ceremony at Wat Thai Washington, D.C. Many buddhists took part in various activities including chanting, receiving five precepts, offering alms to the monks, and joining in candlelight procession to honor Lord Buddha’s teaching. Phrakhru Sirisitdhivites, a senior Monk of the temple, also gave a sermon during the ceremony.

On this occasion, Ambassador Tanee took the opportunity to update the Thai community on development of diverse Thai-US cooperation as well as the collaboration among Thai-Americans in DMV area.
