Royal Thai Embassy congratulates Thai participants of the Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement program

On 1 November 2023, Mr. Kobboon Sangmanee, Minister Counsellor, attended the Fulbright Teaching and Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Recognition Luncheon, to congratulate participants from Thailand upon their completion of the program, at the Westin, Washington, D.C.

This bi-annual program, which lasts for 6 weeks, is organized by the Fulbright Teacher Exchanges in collaboration with the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and IREX. The purpose is to empower teachers from across the continents through trainings, workshops, as well as exchanges of best practices and cultures, in various participating universities in the US with fields of study in teaching and education.

For 2023, there were three teachers from Thailand out of 150 participants from 68 countries, namely, Ms. Monticha Pongto, an english teacher from Chomsurang Upatham School of Ayutthaya Province, Mr. Arrafun Baka, a biology teacher from Mahavajiravudh School of Songkhla Province, and Ms. Peempond Phaprom, a physics teacher from Somdetpitayakom of Kalasin Province. The teachers were assigned to Georgia State University, Appalachian State University, and University of North Carolina, Greensboro, for trainings, respectively.
