On 20 February 2026, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, attended the Celebration of the One-Year Anniversary of “The Man on a Global Mission for Peace – President Donald J. Trump” at Mar-a-Lago, Florida. This global event was organized by Mrs. Thapanee and Mr. Philip Nicozisis to mark the first anniversary of President Donald J. Trump’s second term in advancing global peace initiatives. It brought together distinguished guests and participants from various fields and from many parts of the world including Omar Harfouch, French-Lebanese composer and pianist; Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, a German-Austrian prince; Caitlyn Jenner, Olympic Gold Medalist and TV Personality; Sahar Biniaz, Miss Universe Canada 2012 and Miss Universe Iran 2025; and Michaela Tomanová, Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025.

Ambassador Suriya was invited to deliver the opening remarks in which he commended President Trump’s steadfast leadership and determination in promoting peace and stability worldwide. Ambassador highlighted the President’s important role in facilitating a ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia, an effort for which Thailand remains deeply appreciative. Ambassador also underscored that Thailand has always been on a pathway to peace and remains firmly committed to upholding the ceasefire agreed to by Thailand and Cambodia. Ambassador Suriya also said that peace amongst communities and inner peace within oneself must also be promoted. As this special anniversary is commemorated, Thailand stands ready to work hand in hand with President Trump, the President of Vision, Action and Peace.
