On 5 March 2026, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., participated in a business roundtable hosted by the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC). The roundtable was attended by representatives from more than 20 member companies operating in Thailand across a wide range of sectors and was moderated by Ambassador Brian McFeeters, President and CEO of USABC.

During the discussion, Ambassador Suriya briefed participants on the latest developments regarding expected timeline of the formation of the new Thai Government, Thailand’s economic policy priorities, and the current status of Thailand–U.S. trade negotiations. The Ambassador reaffirmed the Thai Government’s commitment to maintaining pro-business policies and continuing efforts to enhance the ease of doing business in Thailand. He also emphasized Thailand’s readiness to work closely with the U.S. private sector to further strengthen the economic relations between the two nations.
