H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, together with Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister, inspected the mobile consular services organized from 20–22 February 2026 at Wat Buddharangsi in Miami, Florida, with the aim of providing consular services to Thai nationals residing in Florida and nearby states. Services included passport applications, Thai national ID card renewals, interviews and applications for Thai birth and death certificates, as well as other consular assistance such as document legalization and powers of attorney.

On 20 February 2026, a special walk-in session was arranged for senior citizens aged 60 and above, allowing them to receive services without prior appointment.

In addition, the Ambassador hosted a dinner for the consular volunteers, Thai community leaders in Miami and Key West, and Thai students in Florida, including those from Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, and University of Miami. The discussions with the members of Thai community focused on their well-being, daily life, and areas where they would like support from the Embassy and relevant Thai agencies.

The Embassy received kind support in providing the venue from Abbot of Wat Buddharangsi, as well as strong cooperation from Ms. Phonethip “Tai” Vaz, the President of Thai American Association of Florida and local volunteers who assisted with venue preparation and facilitation for both officials and service recipients.

  • 113 national ID card applications
  • 116 passport applications
  • 8 birth certificate applications
