On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United States, met with Congressman Warren Davidson (R-OH), Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions, and member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Both sides reaffirmed the long-standing alliance and strategic partnership between Thailand and the United States, underscoring their commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations and advance multi-dimensional cooperation based on shared values and mutual interests. They welcomed the deepening cooperation in law enforcement, including efforts to combat transnational crime and to prevent and suppress online scam operations proliferating across Southeast Asia, affecting Thai and American citizens as well as people around the world.   

In this regard, Congressman Davidson commended Thailand’s continued efforts to address online scams, including an initiative to convene an International Conference on the Global Partnership against Online Scams, which will be held in Bangkok on December 17–18, 2025, and co-hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
