On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United States, met with Congressman Jefferson Shreve, member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. 

Both sides exchanged views on the multi-dimensional challenges posed by online scam networks across Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific, including their direct impact on American citizens and broader global implications. They discussed ways to deepen Thailand–U.S. cooperation to address these threats, including enhanced law enforcement collaboration and strengthened intelligence sharing.

In this regard, the Ambassador also welcomed U.S. engagement in the International Conference on the Global Partnership against Online Scams, which will be held in Bangkok on December 17–18, 2025, and co-hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
