On August 5, 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, presided over a merit-making ceremony dedicated to Thai people who lost their lives as a result in the situation between Thailand and Cambodia. The ceremony was held at the Wat Thai Washington, D.C., and was attended by Team Thailand officials and representatives of the Thai community.

On this occasion, the Ambassador and members of Team Thailand presented offerings of robes to the monastic community led by the Venerable Most Venerable Phra Thepmongkol Vajirarangsi (Surasak Chiwanantho, also known as Luangta Chi).
