On 25 June 2025, H.E. Dr. SuriyaChindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S. and Chairman of ASEAN Committee in Washington (ACW), co-hosted a roundtable meeting on U.S. tariffs and trade policies,entitled “Navigating U.S. Trade Policy: ASEAN Governments and U.S. Industry Dialogue.” The event was organized with the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) as part of a series of activities during the Royal Thai Embassy’s ACW chairmanship (May-August 2025).
 
During the meeting, ASEAN Ambassadors and representatives outlined their economic priorities and engaged in a frank and candid discussion with U.S. private sector on tariffs and mitigation strategies. Both sides emphasized the importance of the ASEAN-U.S. economic partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
