On 3 June 2025, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Chargé d'Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C., delivered opening remarks at “Sawasdee Pride Night,” an event held under the theme “One Pride, Many Paths.” The evening was organized by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

 

On this occasion, the CDA highlighted Thailand’s commitment to promoting human rights, equality, and diversity, as well as its success in becoming the first country in Southeast Asia to pass a same-sex marriage law. The CDA also called for support from the U.S. and the international LGBTQIAN+ networks that participated in the event, should Thailand bid to host the InterPride World Conference 2025 and WorldPride 2030, underscoring the country’s dedication to inclusiveness on the global stage.
