It was an encore for the ages. Thai teen sensation NeNe Royal earned four “yes” votes from the judges of America's Got Talent (AGT) during the callback round with her burning guitar and vocal version of the Muse song Hysteria, ensuring she will advance in the competition.

The show went so far as to release the video of NeNe's performance three days before the August 11 broadcast with the title “Early Release: Nene Royal CRUSHES ‘Hysteria’ by Muse | Judges’ Callbacks | AGT 2026.”  The Guitar World website dubbed the teenager from the island of Phuket a "prodigy."

Until recently, NeNe (pronounced Nay Nay), whose real name is Rattikarn Amloy, was playing guitar and singing for tourists and locals for pocket change at a night market in Phuket, Thailand's most popular beach resort island.

She said her parents wanted her to pursue a business career, but she was determined to shoot for the stars in the field of music. However, when her parents saw her on stage, they began supporting her dream and traveled with her to the AGT competition.

Nene "blew the audience away" and "dished out a feast of screaming solos and had the crowd in raptures," wrote Guitar World.

"Armed with a neck-through Ibanez MC300... she dazzled with her take on Hysteria. After a blinding guitar solo, complete with some slick tapping licks, she weaved (Muse guitarist) Matt Bellamy’s lead parts with Chris Wolstenholme’s iconic bassline. All while belting out the vocals. It’s seriously impressive stuff from a player who wasn’t even born when the song was first released," Guitar World wrote.

“You got us really amped up. I want more,” AGT Judge Nikki Glaser said. At  just 16 years old, more from NeNe Royal is definitely on the horizon.
