On 8 October 2024, Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, met with Mr. Surapon Suijavanich, President of the Thai-American Association of North Carolina, and members of the Thai community in North Carolina. On this occasion, he expressed sympathy for the communities affected by the flooding in North Carolina and presented the Royal Thai Government’s donation to the Thai-American Association of North Carolina to support those impacted by the disaster.
