On 13 October 2023, Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse presided over blessing and alms-giving ceremony on the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great Memorial Day 13 October 2024 at Wat Tummaprateip in Maryland. The ceremony was also participated by Team Thailand officials, staff, and family members, as well as Thai communities in Washington, D.C. and nearby areas.

The Ambassador laid flowers in front of a portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and also led the observation of 89 seconds of silence in remembrance of His Majesty.
