On 10 October 2024, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, met with the Dean Mary Frances Luce of Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and Dean Kerry Abrams of Duke Law School and had a fruitful discussion with Duke University Thai Steering Committee members on educational cooperation between Duke and universities in Thailand. Ambassador Suriya also gave a lunch talk on the topic of “The UN Legal Committee,” where he underscored the importance of international law for global peace and prosperity and shared his experience as Chair of the UN 6th Committee between 2023-2024. This event was organized by the International Law Society (ILS) at Duke Law School with over 100 students participated.
