On 11 October 2024, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, presided over the wreath-laying ceremony in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C.

On this occasion, the Ambassador delivered remarks in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great’s contributions to Thailand and the Thai people and led all participants in observing a moment of silence for 89 seconds. This event was attended by officers and spouses of the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand in Washington, D.C.
