The Royal Thai Embassy’s officials participated in the events to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother’s Birthday Anniversary at 3 Thai Buddhist temples in the DMV area. The events are as follows:

1) On 6 August 2023, Miss Waramon Waruttama, Minister Counsellor, presided over a ceremony celebrating Asarnha Bucha Day (Buddhist Lent Day) and National Mother’s Day. She also delivered remarks and paid tribute to Her Majesty the Queen Mother. 

2) On 13 August 2023, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Charge d’ Affaires a.i., presided over a ceremony commemorating on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queem Mother’s birthday anniversary at Wat Thai Washington, D.C. She also participated in the “Mother-Child Bond” activities. She presented a certificate of honor to Dr. Saleewan Limawarattana, who is recognized as Mother of the Year, before presenting certificates to students who won the competitions for Mother’s Day.

3) On 13 August 2023, Captain Peerapong Yoosiri, RTN, Naval Attache and his spouse presided over a ceremony at Wat Tummaprateip in Washington DC to pay tribute to Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, to commemorate Her Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary. They also performed a religious ritual and offered robes to the monastic community.
