On 22 February 2024, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat joined the Roundtable “Promoting Medical Supply Chain Resiliency Through U.S. Trade Policy,” hosted by the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) and UPS, to discuss how trade policies can strengthen healthcare supply chain and promote equitable global access to medical goods, services, and technologies.

As a guest speaker, Ambassador Tanee reiterated Thailand’s readiness to leverage Thai-U.S. supply chain cooperation and welcome more U.S. investment and businesses to Thailand, especially on pharmaceutical industry. He also highlighted, “health for all,” the advantages of investing in Thailand’s medical tourism, and the opportunities for cooperation through the recently announced Thailand Wellness Economic Corridor (TWC) and the ongoing Andaman Wellness Corridor (AWC), covering 6 southern provinces.

The roundtable also featured H.E. Jacques Pitteloud, Ambassador of Switzerland, as a guest speaker, and other attendees from healthcare industry and diplomatic corps.
