Ambassador Tanee Sangrat meets with Thai students in Washington, D.C. and nearby areas

On 23 February 2024, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat, together with Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Mrs. Pajita Diskul Na Ayudhya, Minister (Education), and Embassy officials met and had a discussion with 20 Thai students currently studying in Washington, D.C. and DMV area from Georgetown University, George Washington University, University of Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Johns Hopkins University, at the Royal Thai Embassy.

Ambassador Tanee Sangrat welcomed the Thai students as well as gave a briefing on the Embassy’s recent missions and achievements, and overall Thai-U.S. relations. In addition, Minister Chuliepote shared information on the Embassy’s upcoming cultural events as well as invited the students to engage in the Embassy’s efforts to strengthen Thai-U.S. people-to-people relations.

On this occasion, Minister Pajita delivered a presentation on the mission of the Office of Educational Affairs in caring for and providing services to Thai students in the U.S. particularly Thai scholarship students. Consul Sart Chaivoraphorn also provided information on the Embassy’s consular services and ways to strengthen the Thai community in the U.S.
