On 8 October 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, presided over a floral tribute ceremony in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. on the occasion of Nawamindra Maharaj Day, 13 October 2025. The ceremony was attended by heads of Team Thailand, government officials, and their spouses.

On 9 October 2025, the Ambassador presided over a Buddhist chanting ceremony and offered alms to the monks as a royal merit-making tribute, followed by a volunteer activity to clean the ordination hall at Wat Tummaprateip, Washington D.C. The event was attended by Heads of Team Thailand agencies, officials, and their spouses, as well as members of the Thai community in Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas.
