During 16–17 July 2026, the Consular Section of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C., led by Mr. Prayad Dittanate, First Secretary, provided mobile consular services at the Siamese Twins Museum in Mount Airy, North Carolina. The mission aimed to facilitate access to consular services for Thai nationals residing in North Carolina and nearby states. The services provided included issuance of new passports, renewal of national identification cards, and submission of applications for birth and death certificates, as well as consultations on other consular matters, including legalization of documents and powers of attorney.

This mission is the eighth mobile consular service operation of the Fiscal Year 2026. It was successfully carried out through the generous support and cooperation of Mrs. Tanya Jones, Executive Director of the Surry Arts Council and the driving force behind the establishment of the Siamese Twins Museum, Mount Airy, as well as local volunteers. A total of 103 individuals received the services, including 42 passport renewals and 31 renewals of national identification cards, as well as 30 cases of birth and death certificates applications and consultations on legalization and civil registration documents.
