On 9 May , 2025, Mrs. Katanawadee Kalayanamit, Consul-General of Thailand in Chicago, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Royal Thai Embassy, and Mrs. Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai, Deputy Consul-General, visited Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. They received a briefing on the institution’s history, vision, strategy, and innovations in healthcare and research by Dr. Ashokakumar M. Patel, a pulmonologist at the Mayo Clinic and Advanced Digital Education team.
The delegation also met with Rochester Mayor Kim Norton and Dr. Stacey A. Rizza, Infectious Disease Specialist and Executive Medical Director, International Practice and Asia Pacific at Mayo Clinic for a working lunch to explore collaboration in medical, academic, and cultural areas between Thailand, the City of Rochester, and Mayo Clinic.
