On April 30, 2025, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission in her capacity as the Vice President of the ASEAN Spouses' Circle (ASC), along with spouses of Team Thailand in Washington D.C., hosted an event entitled “Thai Massage: The Healing Power of Touch” in collaboration with the NuadThai and Spa Association of America.

The event aimed at promoting traditional Thai massage as an important part of Thailand’s cultural heritage, which was also recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2019, as well as highlighting its recognized health benefits.

The program included live demonstrations of Thai massage techniques, basic guidance on self-care for common conditions such as office syndrome and sciatica, and complimentary massage services for attendees.

Guests also enjoyed a Thai lunch reception, fostering cultural exchange and strengthening regional connections among ASEAN Diplomats’ Spouses in Washington, D.C.

On this occasion, Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., greeted the participants and observed the massage demonstrations.
