On 13 September 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, presided over the opening ceremony of the 2025 U.S. Thai Massage Championship in Boston, Massachusetts. The event was organized by Mrs. Jaroenporn Hacker, President of the Nuad Thai and Spa Association of America, with the aim of promoting and preserving the rich heritage of traditional Thai massage in the United States. On this occasion, the Ambassador also presented the Embassy’s financial contribution to the Association and presented certificates to graduates and instructors, underscoring the Royal Thai Embassy support for the ongoing professional development of Thai massage practitioners.
Following the championship, on 15 September 2025, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission presided over the opening ceremony of the “Thai Therapeutic Massage Workshop” held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. The workshop was designed to further enhance the skills and techniques of association members and Thai massage professionals from across the United States. Renowned instructors leading the workshop included Mr. Tawatpong Boonchin (Kru Det), Mr. Sakol Chotchuang (Kru Sakol), Mr. Watcharin Puengprom (Kru Kae), and Mr. Puchong Khemchalerm (Kru Bank). The event welcomed over 50 participants and served as a valuable platform for professional growth and cultural exchange.
The Nuad Thai and Spa Association of America is a model organization established by Thai nationals, with a widespread membership network spanning nearly the entire United States. The Association plays a pivotal role in empowering the Thai community, advocating for Thai massage entrepreneurs, and promoting Thai cultural heritage through traditional healing arts.
